Because the Arduino (and Basic Stamp) are 5V devices, and most modern sensors, displays, flashcards, and modes are 3.3V-only, many makers find that they need to perform level shifting/conversion to protect the 3.3V device from 5V.
There are some other handy level shifters available in the market, from the DIP 74LVC245 to the fancy bi-directional TXB0108. However, neither of these are happy to work with I2C, which uses a funky pull-up system to transfer data back and forth. This level shifter board combines the ease-of-use of the bi-directional TXB0108 with an I2C-compatible FET design following NXP’s app note.
This breakout has 4 BSS138 FETs with 10K pull-ups. It works down to 1.8V on the low side, and up to 10V on the high side. The 10K’s do make the interface a little more sluggish than using a TXB0108 or 74LVC245 so we suggest checking those out if you need high-speed transfer.
While we designed it for use with I2C, this works as well for TTL Serial, slow <2MHz SPI, and any other digital interface both unidirectional and bidirectional. Comes with a fully assembled, and tested PCB with 4 full bidirectional converter lines as well as 2 pieces of 6-pin header you can solder on to plug into a breadboard or perfboard.

The LM2596 module is an easy-to-use, nonsynchronous, step-down DC-DC converter with a wide input voltage range up to 40 V. The voltage can be varied with the help of potentiometer. MT3608 is a constant frequency, current-mode step-up converter intended for small,
low-power applications. Internal soft-start results in a small inrush current and extends battery life. The MT3608 features automatic shifting to pulse frequency modulation mode at light loads. Voltage Adjustment
The module has a single-turn potentiometer for adjustment of the output voltage.
Turning the pot CW decreases the output voltage while turning it CCW increases the output voltage. The upper limit of the adjustment range will depend on the input voltage and the load. With a 9V input for instance, at 1A, the upper voltage limit will be approximately 20V.

The SIM800A Quad Band GSM/GPRS Serial Modem has a SIM800A GSM chip and RS232 interface while enables easy connection with the computer or laptop using the USB to Serial connector or to the microcontroller using the RS232 to TTL converter. You can use this sensor to monitor rain or slushy snow/hail and send closure requests to electronic shutters, windows, awnings or skylights whenever the rain is detected.
The working of the rain sensor is pretty straightforward. The sensing pad with a series of exposed copper traces together acts as a variable resistor (just like a potentiometer) whose resistance varies according to the amount of water on its surface.
This resistance is inversely proportional to the amount of water:
The sensor produces an output voltage according to the resistance, which by measuring we can determine whether it’s raining or not.
