MT3608 is a constant frequency, current-mode step-up converter intended for small,

low-power applications. Internal soft-start results in a small inrush current and extends battery life. The MT3608 features automatic shifting to pulse frequency modulation mode at light loads. The MT3608 includes under-voltage lockout, current limiting, and thermal overload protection to prevent damage in the event of an output overload.

Voltage Adjustment

The module has a single-turn potentiometer for adjustment of the output voltage.

Turning the pot CW decreases the output voltage while turning it  CCW increases the output voltage. The upper limit of the adjustment range will depend on the input voltage and the load.  With a 9V input for instance, at 1A, the upper voltage limit will be approximately 20V.

Because the Arduino (and Basic Stamp) are 5V devices, and most modern sensors, displays, flashcards, and modes are 3.3V-only, many makers find that they need to perform level shifting/conversion to protect the 3.3V device from 5V.

There are some other handy level shifters available in the market, from the DIP 74LVC245 to the fancy bi-directional TXB0108. However, neither of these are happy to work with I2C, which uses a funky pull-up system to transfer data back and forth. This level shifter board combines the ease-of-use of the bi-directional TXB0108 with an I2C-compatible FET design following NXP’s app note.

This breakout has 4 BSS138 FETs with 10K pull-ups. It works down to 1.8V on the low side, and up to 10V on the high side. The 10K’s do make the interface a little more sluggish than using a TXB0108 or 74LVC245 so we suggest checking those out if you need high-speed transfer.

While we designed it for use with I2C, this works as well for  TTL Serial,  slow <2MHz SPI, and any other digital interface both unidirectional and bidirectional. Comes with a fully assembled, and tested PCB with 4 full bidirectional converter lines as well as 2 pieces of 6-pin header you can solder on to plug into a breadboard or perfboard.

    This shield for Raspberry Pi Pico enables a combination of SDCard and Prototyping area powered by a Coin Cell Battery. It comes with an SDCard holder and a CR2032 Coin Cell holder.

    The comparator module is used to digitize any resistive sensor. The module produces an output voltage according to the resistance of the connected sensor and is made available at Analog Output (AO) pin. The same signal is fed to an LM393 High Precision Comparator to digitize it and is made available at a Digital Output (DO) pin. The module has a built-in potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment of the digital output (DO).
    You can set a threshold by using a potentiometer; So that when the sensor resistance goes low beyond the comparator threshold value, the module will output LOW otherwise HIGH.
